There's Something In The Air
This is going to be a different kind of article. Right now, the founder of Mutilated Mohawk Media, is a few days into the competition of a lifetime. Blood has been shed and the rallying cries of the battlefield will plague my dreams forever. However, I must now call you. Over the duration of this competition I will be giving battle updates to you Muti-Freaks, the one and only. You are the crew that supports me in this arduous journey.
This, as I have previously mentioned, will be the first of many articles giving you guys updates from the battlefield. As this is the initial article, I am happy to report that we are starting off this great fight with a great advantage. Thanks to the wonderful community that has arisen from the creation of this site we have been able to put in enough votes to hit first place.
Don’t let this get you into a false sense of security. The fighting is far from over. We have quite the journey ahead of us. There will be struggles, there will be days where we will feel that we don’t have the time, and there will be days where our metaphorical casualties are great. However, I do believe that Mutilated Mohawk Media has some of the most wonderful people around.
Our niche fanbase has been able to do so much in the short time of our existence. We’ve interviewed amazing people, made astounding connections, and produced horror content like no other. From bands, to artists, to content creators, to even horror movie icons; we’ve been able to do it together. The constant support I get from some of you guys is so admirable, and I thank each and every one of you for your dedication to the cause.
Let me tell you what this competition is about in the first place. The 2022 Face of Horror competition is actually a really good competition. At the very center of the competition, the money raised by the website through pay-per-votes goes to The Andrew McDonough Foundation. This organization helps relieve medical bills for those dealing with pediatric cancers. A wonderful cause, and a cause that Mutilated Mohawk is proud to compete for.
What's This All About?
The Face of Horror competition is also amazing because of the wonderful prizes that they hold. At the very end of this raging conquest, only one will stand victorious. To win the Face of Horror competition is any horror fan’s dream. You win a photo shoot with Kane Hodder, a two night stay in the infamous Buffalo Bill house, a walk-on role in an indie horror film, and THIRTEEN THOUSAND dollars. Pretty amazing right?
What would I do with thirteen thousand dollars? Don’t worry Muti-freaks, I have it all planned out to benefit this operation as a whole. The money would be split up in quite a few ways. I have written an extreme horror novel and some of the money would go towards publishing/promoting that. I also have some really cool behind the scenes projects here at Mutilated Mohawk Media. Things that go bump in the night, things that will truly scare the wonderful viewer. Although I don’t want to disclose too much about these projects, I will say that the construction and implementation of these projects will drastically speed up if we were to successfully win the thirteen thousand dollars. The last source that the money would go to is the Scares That Care organization. This is only because I meet these guys at every single horror convention. Scares That Care is a charity organization that I absolutely love, and everything they did to help Sid Haig’s family when he passed just really puts the charity on top of it all. If I won, I would donate to Scares That Care. Overall, to win this competition would advance Mutilated Mohawk Media so much further in its goals of creating a massive media creating platform that pushes out high quality entertainment for those in the extreme music and horror community.
However, this competition lasts a while. In fact, it won’t end until November 10th, 2022. So over the course of the competition we are going to need all the support we can get. We need to keep supporting our cause, because over the next few months we are going to be at war to become the Face of Horror.
How Does One Vote?
So, how does one vote? Well, if you click the link at the end of the article it will bring you straight to my profile. Admire it, love it, hate it. It’s all welcomed. But, that is me, your very own chaotic leader of Mutilated Mohawk Media. Once you are there you have the option to vote for free if you login with Facebook. This is what I recommend. As you can see from the tournament schedule that I posted, it’s a long fight. Save the heavy ammo and donations for the later rounds. Right now we just need consistency. Daily votes that maintain our dominant status on top, that is what is important. There will be a time that I ask for you guys to give it everything you got, however, that time isn’t here yet. Right now we just need you guys to show up. We need the Mutilated Crew to band together and march upon the realm of the Face of Horror Competition.
I’m not saying this fight is going to be easy. It’s going to be tedious and long. However, I know that this community is the best community out there. I know that the freakish fans of horror and the terrifying fans of extreme music are some of the best people out there. This is our journey, our time to band together to compete. We have this, just stick around and don’t give up. I deeply appreciate each and every one of you guys giving support to us, and to this cause. It means the absolute world to me. This was your first message from the frontlines. Stay strong out there folks, it’s only the beginning. Stay mutilated.
