Dear Muti-Freaks and Horror Fiends alike,
It’s very evident that Mutilated Mohawk has gone offline for quite a while. I had some fans of the site reach out to me in this time and ask, ‘is it all gone?’ I never wanted to confirm this. Mutilated Mohawk Media is something I created on a whim. An idea to sort of learn from all different types of people in the horror and extreme music industry. A site with a main focus on interviewing people, networking, getting to know the creators, artists, and awesome people that make these niche communities up. It was fun while it lasted.
Mutilated Mohawk Media was my own symbol of progress. I’m an aspiring horror author, aspiring filmmaker, and creator. While interviewing people who have ‘made it’ in their respective niches I not only learned about their crafts, but also I got to show an audience some of the lesser known people in these industries. To me, that’s the coolest thing ever. An underground interview website riding on the frontlines of indie horror and extreme music. We love to see it. The further I got with my site, the more people I interviewed, the more doors seemed to open in my own life.
However, some time ago this progress stopped. While I can name every excuse in the world, the simplest explanation is I didn’t make time for this. Progress stopped on many of my projects. I felt trapped in a world of monotony. Trapped in a day job that had nothing to do with anything I was passionate about, and trapped into a life path that I didn’t want to be on. This mentality is dangerous. I was just comfortable enough to not do anything to change it but horribly disappointed in the lack of progress on things I had wanted to do for the longest time. I don’t want that life, not in the slightest.
So, Mutilated Mohawk Media is back from the grave. I can only promise one post a week, and for the time being they will be interviews only. While I have the next few months of interviews lined up, I also would love to discover more creators. I can’t thank the people enough who came out and talked to me about the website. I was surprised that many of you paid attention to this little thing of mine. It’s extremely satisfying to see people enjoy what I do as much as I enjoy putting it out. For you fans of both Mutilated Mohawk, and of my own creations, I promise you that there is so much on the way. Behind the scenes, there was a good bit of progress made on certain projects. While nothing can be disclosed currently, I can say that Mutilated Mohawk Media and myself have some wicked things planned for the future. Stick around for a while, you may find something you like in the wilds that I have created.
